Best thing about being a Mom...

I was once asked what's the best thing about being pregnnat....and of course I think the best thing is when you feel that life you created kicking and moving inside of you. Gosh that is the best feeling in the world. But of course what tops even that is when that same baby is placed in your arms and the baby looks up into your eyes and you know right then that you never truly knew love. Yet even better then that is when that same sweet baby says "Mama" for the first time. Wow that is just the sweetest word int he world. But today I was reminded of something that is even better. Today at breakfast Rachel and I were doing our "I love you" thing...wher we point to out eye then our heart then the person we are saying it to. And little Charle decided she was going to join then she said in the sweetest voice "I U" and both Rach and I knew that she was say "I love you" in her way. And THAT is the best thing about being a mom...hearing those little words :) Im sure as the girls grow there will be other things that are the best....but at this point hearing "I U" is the best most wonderful thing I have experinced in being a mom.

Vacation Bible School with Fellowship Baptist church

We got a flyer on our door about a VBS that was going to be held at a local Baptist church. Dominick is baptist so we decided to send Rachel to it, she wanted to go very badly. They would pick her up and drop her off so it was really great. She had a lot of fun and made some new friends and did some great artwork. I took pictures of the ones that she did. we did miss one day of VBS because we all slept in to late the night before and didnt wake up on time. The theme of VBS was Smiling. The girls "won" VBS meaning they brought in the most pennys for offering. She really enjoyed it and now wants to start going there on Sundays. Im going to check it out next week. Seeing as we havent found our home church here yet...I miss San Diego and the church we had there.

Dodge ball is a dangerous game!

Well Im sure we all rememebr as kids playing doge ball in school...it was fun, it hurt but most of all it was fun. Well the neighbor kids in the back have started to play doge ball EVERY day behind my house. Balls hit our half fence and windows A LOT. I have gone back there a few times telling them they need to be more aware and also to pick up their trash...the kids that know me, and know I know where they live :P are respectful...the other ones not so much maybe its casue Im the size of most of them if not smaller LOL.

Anyways, the other night Rachel decided she wanted to hang out with the big kids. I told her that they are throwing balls, she will PROBABLY get hit and it WILL hurt. Of course she said ok and she still wanted to play...well she went out there and there and the kids werent throwing at her becasue she is so young, which I am VERY greatful for. But then when one of the boys was trying to hit one of the girls and she moved it smacked Rachel dead in the face. He came running over to make sure she was okay...and she didnt cry until everyone asked if she was okay LOL. She was fine there was no marks on her at all...her nose did hurt for the rest of the night but the next day she was fine....you would think after this she wouldnt want to play with the big kids anymore right??? Well thats a big negative she still asks me everythime she sees tehm playing if she can go out too....Im just a little scared now to let her LOL I dont want to her to get hurt again!

Rachel and ECEAP

We were very lucky to get Rachel into ECEAP last school year and it dawned on me I never really wrote about it. We almost made to much money, whoch to me makes NO sense how can we an E-4 family make to much money??? Anyways soo not the point! The first day she went to school she jumped on the bus no problem smiled at me and waved...I cried (but not until after I got into my house) She LOVED school and of course ended up not wanting to get up and go to school all the time. She did GREAT in school and the teachers loved having her. She made great friends there and it was a nice break for me :p My favorite thing though is when the teacher asked Rachel what she wants to be when she grows up she answered "Ummmm. Just a mom." It was soooo sweet! Gosh I love my daughter!

Our neighbor's church had a night of fun at our housing complex. There was free jump houses, cotton candy, popcorn and snow cones. It was so much fun. Rachel and Charle both had a blast! Rachel especially cause she could do much more then Charel could. I didnt get to many pictures of her becasue I didnt know where she was have the time, it was in an enclosed place though so she WAS safe and I had neighbors that I knwo very well helping me keep an eye on her.
